I always get so excited when the weather warms up enough to move lunches and dinners outside. With Easter egg hunts and spring time soirees on the agenda, it is a perfect time to go to HomeGoods and load up on beautiful entertaining supplies. (Everything here, including the sweet treat cake, is from my home away from home store.)

When it comes to spring entertaining, think light and bright. Pastels and white dishes are seasonal favorites but feel fresh and new when paired with elegant warm tones like plum and gold.

For my spring table, I started with the blush dishes — they were talking to me at first glance — which inspired the color theme. I paired them with bold and beautiful plum stemware, and added gold flatware to bring a regal feel to an otherwise rustic setting.

Another favorite? These ruffled linen napkins and runner. When it comes to choosing linens, go fuss-free. There’s no need to spend hours ironing when you choose something more natural, like a nubby linen. Bonus: that linen texture adds a whole new level of charm on your table.

As you plan out your evening, think about serving pieces as well. I fell head over heels in love with this carved, detailed breadboard. It is perfect for serving anything from cheese and crackers to dessert.

From candles on the table, to flowers for your centerpiece to your color palette, keep in mind the ambiance and what type of mood you want to set. I wanted something that was pastel and romantic, so I learned towards blush, but you could just as easily go with white dishes and create a very charming, timeless setting.

Then dream up a delicious menu, check off the guest list and get ready to welcome in spring entertaining with style.
